Our Mission: Holistic Child Welfare & Community Resilience
At Almidrar Foundation, we believe every child deserves the love, stability, and protection of a family structure. We dedicate 100% of our operations to identifying vulnerable orphans in rural Mandera and providing them with direct, community-based care. Rather than isolating children in institutional facilities, we empower local foster families and extended relatives with the financial, nutritional, and educational resources necessary to raise healthy, confident children while simultaneously driving climate-resilient economic independence along the local river basin.
Directly eliminating learning barriers for over 500 active students across our Madrasa (350 children), Quran Tahfiid program (120 kids), and specialized Orphan support track (30 children). With 70% of our student base classified as highly vulnerable, we are launching structural support frameworks including a daily nutritional school feeding program (breakfast and lunch), a student transport network, a school uniform drive, and secure community residency facilities for our dedicated educators who commute to serve them.
Transforming rural household poverty into climate-resilient economic independence. We train and equip local families to optimize agriculture along the local river basin, paired with structured youth mentorship networks and community-led family conflict resolution programs.
